Help Save the Future of Our Growing Family!
(A message from CEO, Jasmine Jones)
We are fundraising and need your help.
"A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality." - Yoko Ono
The studio has been both a blessing and exhilarating journey for us. However, after three successful years, Jazz It Up! Studio of Dance must finally pursue looking for a larger home for our growing family.
When I first opened Jazz it Up! in 2016, I wanted to build a studio for children of all ages and/or anyone with a love for the art of the freedom to express themselves while learning and improving their technical training. As the Director, I envisioned bringing out their inner creative self through dance in a place of full acceptance and no judgement. Before I became a Director, I was a teacher and before I was a teacher, I was student and before I was a student, I was a shy young girl stuck in my inner shell. My mother enrolled me into my first dance school, to bring me out of my shyness, resulting in a beneficial change that enhanced my personal growth.
Through dance, I have attained confidence in my mind, my body, and my soul. I have seen the same results in the build of confidence in my dance students. My students are coming out of their shells and expressing themselves more openly in dance form. Even the parents are seeing the results and have begun to refer more families to continue this cycle of positive self-expression in art. Now we are a bigger family needing a bigger space to house our dancers and expand more in the community. With a bigger space, it will allow our doors to be able to enroll more children who are stuck in their inner shell and need an outlet to express themselves.
This fundraiser will provide stability and comfortability for dancers, both old and new. It will be a larger space for our extending family and providing a welcoming home for our children. My purpose in life is to continue to teach and guide children to walk through the steps, go through the motions, leap through the air, and ultimately jazz it up! We hope to make this dream happen within a couple of months! Please help this dream become a reality. My goal is to reach as many youths as I can and to show them how powerful the arts can be. Jazz It Up! is more than a place of dance, it is a place of love, acceptance, and a home to anyone who walks through its doors.
Thank you again for reading my story and thank you in advance for your generosity.
